Purchased Smith & Wesson Men’s SWW-357-SS regarding five years ago. I’ve got macular degeneration, and the actual brightness at 3:00 a.m. is definitely first-rate.
No check out is perfect in every area. There is probably constructed to be brighter, but at precisely what cost? Or one that is definitely more durable at exactly the same cost, etc. But brussels is a great mixture of bright luminous markings along with numbers (for my terrible eyes), accuracy, durability, model, and price. Basically, any top-notch value without breaking the bank.
Have treated it roughly, smacking in to concrete block, door jambs, auto engine elements, and it has in no way failed. Smith & Wesson Men’s SWW-357-SS has banged into numerous hard objects, and I have lowered it, but no ruin and no scratches around the crystal. Keeps outstanding period, as verified against United states Naval Observatory website.
Ok bye the negative comments for Smith & Wesson Men’s SWW-357-SS and additional S&W models, on mine the tritium lighting is outstanding. Sure, it seriously isn’t up to the “perfection” shown on advertisement photos–as is the situation of virtually all some other tritium watches I get examined. It is, however, a WHOLE lot better and useful than painted-on luminescent markings, that you must “re-charge” with some sort of flashlight, and then lose colour after a few units. Wish they had inserted a tritium vial within the second hand, but in which hand does have lambent paint.
The clasp lock mechanism is much superior to some Seikos and Labels I wore in yesteryear. Many just loosened in place over time from use of themetal parts. Not so with this S&W.
No regrets. In fact I’m purchasing the identical model in titanium.
Sound well made watch, Will keep excellent time. 200m WR, Rotating bezel, Sorted. Tritium on minute and also hour hand and at all 12 hour markers, typical light powered glow at nighttime material on seconds fretting hand and a dot to the rotating bezel. Note on tritium, this “gas” lights up like standard glow at nighttime that needs to become charged by light like it has been charged 5-10 minutes in the past. Confusing ? It’s not near as bright as you could expect but very apparent in low light. Promoting pictures are time lapsing making them appear richer.
